Concert update….

The highlight in March was presenting American classics at the German flute convention in Freiburg. With Cordula Hacke on piano, we played Copland’s Duo, Roy HarrisLyric Study, a movement from Charles Wuorinen‘s Sonata, and one from Eldin Burton‘s Sonatina. And in between I played Wuorinen’s Flute Variations II for solo flute.

Now it’s back to various premieres (Swiss* or World**) at the Gare Du Nord in Basel on April 8. This is the program, with Norbert Krämer on percussion, Xenia Narati on harp, and yours truly on all 4 flutes:

Michèle Rusconi – On A Whim (fl solo)*
Heinz Holliger – Sequenzen über Johannes I, 32 (hp solo)
Moritz Eggert – XeroX (fl/hp)**
Rène Leibowitz – Trois Caprices (perc solo)
Yoshihiro Kanno – Deep Sea Maze (fl/perc)*
***
Jovanka Trbojevic – The Wounded Angel (fl/perc)*
Pèter Koeszeghy – Utopie XIII “Eisblüten” (picc solo)*
Michèle Rusconi – dead men are heavier than broken hearts (fl/hp/perc)**
